We hold two formal, evening development seminars a year, generally in February and June. Whilst in 2016, our development theme was around ‘Brand’, with our February event focussing on personal branding, and our June event focussing on building an online brand and engagement, in 2017 we will be looking at the changing world of work. Our February event will look at the macro trends of urbanisation, demography, life expectancy, the ever increasing capability of technology and what this could mean for us and our careers. In June we will share tips with our members on how to build mental toughness and resilience, to help them deal with the ever increasing pace of change in the world of work.
We also hold monthly breakfast meetings, usually on the third Thursday of the month.
There are also ad-hoc social events throughout the year, as well as workshops.
In previous years, we have worked closely with Plymouth, Bristol and Cardiff and the Networks have jointly hosted weekend events, and a full day conference. We will again be holding a conference on 13 October 2017 in Bristol. The conference will have four key note speakers, networking opportunities, as well as industry related speakers.
